S8080 have an experienced technical Microsoft .NET team who develop and support our very own web content management system as well as Umbraco and EPiServer systems. S8080's Content Management System (CMS) has been designed from the ground up by our user experience experts to be incredibly easy to use.

If you can use Word or similar word-processing software, you will be up and running in about three minutes.

Our powerful .NET CMS gives you complete control over the structure and the content of your website from anywhere in the world using your web browser. The CMS is used by South Wales Police, NHS, Visit Wales, the Department for Energy and Climate Change, DWP, the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, Lee Valley Park and many, many more.

Technical experience

Our Microsoft CMS developers have delivered many high profile and complex .NET based websites for public sector and private sector clients. As well as being extremely creative in approach and delivery, S8080 is a very technical agency with a vast knowledge and experience in bespoke .NET development and optimising performance from a technical and user experience perspective.

The team have many examples of custom .NET applications and integrations into Microsoft CRM and Microsoft SharePoint, web services development and interfacing into various API’s.

One look at our client list will tell you that security is vital to us and our customers, so we offer hosting setup, security hardening, PEN testing and provide consultancy on server infrastructure requirements (we hold IL2 classification and have Counter Terrorist Check clearance).

Delivering a .NET CMS perfectly...

S8080 look after some of the most important websites in the country (No.10 Downing Street for example), we are often called in to help breathe new life into an existing website, helping update the site, secure it and increase its performance. We build long term relationships with our clients; we are seen as part of their team rather than just another supplier.

Before their move onto the new GOV.UK platform this year, S8080 were commissioned to design and build Ed Milliband’s newly formed Department of Energy and Climate Change website. We continue to support DECC as their digital agency, managing a family of sites. The head of DECC e-communication and digital media said...

What can I say? Yet again you have been marvellous beyond words. Thank you so much for all your help on ‘2050’ and the blog. It looks great and we couldn’t have done it without you. We owe you particular thanks for your “above and beyond the call of duty” response.

Many thanks once again. We couldn’t hope to be working with a better agency. David Armstrong Department of Energy and Climate Change

S8080’s .NET CMS - everything for your online presence

The 'agile' CMS

Take complete control of your website without needing to be an IT guru and slash ongoing web site costs. Simple to use, full of useful features, English/Welsh bilingual and AA accessible, the S8080 .NET CMS ensures you can keep your web site and your visitors up to date easily.

And of course, we are able to quickly help you with bespoke development to add functionality or make tweaks to the existing applications and plug-ins so they work perfectly for your organisation - that's why we say it's 'agile'.

S8080 .NET CMS 5.0 - what it is?

  • S8080 CMS 5.0 is an agile content management system used by many public sector departments, NGO's, NPO's and small to medium sized organisations and companies
  • Web based CMS - nothing to install (that usually reduces IT team headaches in your organisation, means quicker roll-outs and ensures we can supply you with the latest updates quickly)
  • A secure administration system so you can update your site from anywhere in the world
  • Proven functionality - version 1.0 was built back in 2002 (there are still some clients using it!) We have rolled our CMS out to many organisations including HM Cabinet Office, Dept. of Health, NHS, Dept. of Energy and Climate Change, South Wales Police, Visit Wales, Welsh Government, National Assembly for Wales, Consumer Focus and many more
  • It has been designed by usability experts so it is very, very easy to use
  • It is English/Welsh bilingual too (because of our unique location - read more about us)

Agile? What do you mean?

Quick and easy to implement, quick and easy to change and not tied down by a cumbersome technical infrastructure.

The majority of CMS websites look like they are driven by a content management system – where designs are constrained into rigid boxy layouts. We pride ourselves in building information and campaign marketing web sites that don't look content managed but actually are. Glance through our work and you'll see what we mean.

Who is it for?

S8080 CMS 5.0 is perfect to power a government department, SME, charity or a marketing campaign website. We wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for it to power the whole of the NHS! However, it has been perfect for their Healthy Start and Breast Feeding websites as it's far more agile and cost effective than an Enterprise CMS.

It's not an open source CMS, but we can build you an Umbraco, Drupal or WordPress driven site if you would prefer to utilise an open source platform.
